- Heavily savoyed leaves
- Resistant to bolting
- Open pollinated seeds
- Matures in 60 days
Silverado Swiss chard seeds produce relatively compact plants that have heavily savoyed, deep, dark green leaves with bright white stems. A taste test favourite, its beautiful appearance and very high resistance to bolting make it a great home garden and market variety. Silverado will be ready to harvest as baby greens in only 25 to 30 days. Compared to some other varieties, this is a fairly slow growing chard that eventually reaches 35-40cm (14-16″) in height. Harvest individual leaves by cutting from the base, or cut whole plants for easy transport and display on market tables.
