Sprouting Sunflower Black Seeded – Mr. Fothergill’s
Helianthus annuus
- Quick and easy to grow ‘super food’. Rich in vitamin A
- Grow year-round as sprouts or as ‘micro-greens’
This sprouting seed is used for salads, cheese, desserts and sandwiches. It produces large, crisp and delicious sprouts and seedlings, which are ready in 4-6 days.
Approx. 20 seeds
For Sprouts use either a jar that can be covered with muslin or a clean cloth, or use a seed sprouter. Place seeds in jar and cover with a cloth or place seed in a sprouter. Thoroughly rinse the seeds with tepid water at least twice a day and drain.
For “microgreens”, sow on compost and harvest when 2-5cm (1/4-1″) tall.
