Salad Burnet – Eagleridge Seeds
Sanguisorba MinorÂ
This famous perennial dates back to Elizabethan England. Forms small bushes of finger nail sized leaves on multi stems. The colour is blue/green and the leaf margins are serrated. The flavour is cucumber like and loaded with chlorophyll. Young leaves are used in salads, as a garnish, and flavouring for soup and sauces. The dried leaves make a refreshing tea. The bloom period starts in June, and the plants are smothered in purple/pink flowers. Start indoors in early spring, easy from seed.
