How to Grow
550 seed/gram. Similar to growing heading type lettuce. Plant seed in successive crops every 2 weeks from April to mid June as long as weather is cool. Sow seed 3mm (1/8″) deep and 2.5cm (1″) apart with the rows 40cm (16″) apart. Thin to 30cm (12″) apart. Keep evenly watered as water stress can lead to premature bolting and leaf bitterness. Fall crops can be attempted by seeding in mid to late August. This is a challenging plant to grow.
