Growing on tall sturdy plants festooned with gorgeous red fruit, this mild hot pepper variety is a cornerstone of Basque cuisine. Traditionally strung to dry in long tresses, these thin-walled peppers are preserved by hanging along the front of Basque houses, cascading down from balconies and window ledges. Enjoy fresh, dried, pickled or ground. The genetics for these seeds were sourced from Ustaritz, France in the Pyrenees.
