Gardener’s Notes: Grows best in cool weather. In early spring, sow seeds in the garden in full sun about 1 inch apart. Cover 1/4 inch deep and keep soil moist. When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to 6 inches apart. Sow more seeds 2 weeks later for a continuous supply. Pick leaves regularly, or harvest entire plant. In late summer through early fall, sow again for another crop.
