Onion (Green) Ishikura – Mr. Fothergill’s Seeds
Allium fistulosum
A wonderful type of salad onion that does not bulb but forms long white stalks. Most of the plant can be eaten with very little waste. Quick to mature, they are long-lasting and can be left to make larger stems without losing their flavor. Will do best on well-dug, manured soil in a sunny position.Â
How To Grow |
Sow thinly, 15mm (quarter-inch) deep in rows 15cm (6in) apart. It should not be necessary to thin the seedlings but keep plants well watered, particularly in dry weather. Keep weed free. Repeat sowing every 3 weeks for continuous supply. |
