Brassica oleracea
An heirloom variety that produces flat-toothed, grey-green leaves with a central purple stem. The colour intensifies as temperatures decrease and turns a rich, dark green when cooked. This kale has a soft and tender texture when braised, and is rich in vitamins, minerals, fibre, and plant protein.

Growing Instructions:
Sow direct outdoors in a sunny site in mid-Spring when the soil has warmed but when the weather is still cool. Sow seed 10mm (3/8in) deep and 20cm (8in) apart in rows spaced 30cm (12in) apart.
