Gardener’s Notes:Â Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before night temperatures stay above 55F. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart in containers of seed starting mix. Provide a strong light source and keep very warm. When seedlings are 2 inches tall, transplant into individual containers. Feed with half strength fertilizer every 2 weeks until plants are ready to gradually acclimate to outdoor conditions. Begin harvesting when fruits reach about 4 inches in diameter.Â
