Gardener’s Notes: Grow in a sunny spot with average garden soil; cosmos do not need extra fertilizer to do well. Sow directly in garden in warm spring weather, or start early indoors four weeks before last frost date. Sow seeds 2 inches apart, then thin seedlings to space plants 8-10 inches apart to grow and bloom well. Mature plants are drought tolerant, but bloom longest if watered regularly. Pick often to extend bloom time.
