Gardener’s Notes:
Indoors: 6 weeks before last frost date: sow 1″ apart and 1/8″ deep in a container of seed starting mix. Keep warm and moist and provide a strong light source. Feed lightly every other week. Plant out seedlings 6-8″ apart when nights are reliably above 50F (10C) in a sunny well-drained spot.
Outdoors: Sow in well-drained, finely textured soil in full sun when nights are reliably above 50F (10C). Space seeds 2-3″ apart and cover very lightly, then gently firm soil. Thin or transplant seedlings 6-8″ apart.
