Carrot Coreo – West Coast Seeds
Daucus carota
- Fine internal and external colour
- Good for early planting
- Strong tops for bunching
- Matures in 100 days
- Hybrid seeds
Very fine internal and external colour set this uniform hybrid carrot apart from the rest. Its tops are compact, and strongly attached for good bunching — which makes them very nice for market gardeners. The roots are smooth and crisp with good, clean carrot flavour. Coreo carrot seeds have intermediate resistance to Alternaria, and they are well suited to early season planting. Plant carrots with bean seeds, Brassicas, leeks, lettuce, onions, peas, peppers, pole beans, radish, rosemary, sage, and tomatoes. Avoid planting with dill, parsnips, and potatoes. Carrots planted near tomatoes may have stunted roots, but will have exceptional flavour. Chives also benefit carrots.
