Calamint – Eagleridge Seeds

Very Rare. A perennial tea herb with a low growing bush habit. Pungent small pointed leaves are filled with small purple flower in summer thru fall. Related to the mint family but does not spread, maintaining a nice clump formation 6-8 inches across. Deer proof and drought tolerant, with a very high essential oil content. Makes a potent tea fresh or dried. A good digestive aid, used as a flavouring in cooking and useful to treat bruises and cramps. Tiny seeds, sow in small cells in spring keep warm and give even moisture. Prefers at least a half day of sun.
