Gardener’s Notes:Â Beans need warm weather to grow. Plant in late spring after night temperatures reach 55 degrees Fahrenheit (13 degrees Celsius). Sow seeds 3 inches apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow every 2-3 weeks until early summer for contiguous supply. Keep soil evenly moist. Harvest when pods are about 5-5.5 inches long and before seeds inside begin to swell. Pick every other day to keep plants producing more pods.Â
