Gardener’s Notes:Â Beans need warm weather to grow. Plant in late spring after temperatures reach 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Sow 1-2 seeds every 3 inches in fertile, well-drained soil. Thin small seedlings. Sow every 2-3 weeks until early summer for continuous supply. Keep soil evenly moist. Harvest when pods are about 6 inches long and before seeds inside begin to show. Pick ripe pods daily to keep plants producing for several weeks.
