Lettuce Slobolt – Livingston (McKenzie Seeds)
Lactuca sativa
Slobolt Lettuce is named after the special trait it possesses: it is slow to bolt (go to seed). It is also slow to turn bitter in taste during maturity. This is a looseleaf variety with thick clusters of green, frilled leaves. Slobolt is a large, compact plant which produces the entire summer and is considered a garden standard.Â
For an earlier crop, start indoors 4 weeks before last frost.Â
