Another favourite that has held its own for over one hundred years. 6-8″ (15-20cm) deep purple-blue flowers with striking red-tipped stamens bloom from June to September. Mature height 8-12′ (2.5-3.5m). Because of its outstanding characteristics, this cultivar is used as parentage to many of the newer hybrids. Pruning group B2.
