Amsterdam 3 – Sprint Carrot. Heirloom vegetable. Fast to mature, this is a top class variety for uniform, cylindrical baby carrots with sweet flavour (top in taste tests), good colour and texture over a long season. Perfect for growing in containers or small gardens.

Sow tape directly into the garden, into warm (10C/50F), well-drained, fertile soil after last spring frost. Thin when necessary. Early sowings may benefit from row cover to retain heat. Repeat sowings every 2-3 weeks for a continuous supply of fresh carrots. Keep soil moist until germination, and ensure adequate watering for good root growth.
Carrots are an ideal fall crop vegetable. Sow in late summer a few weeks before frost.
